I've only perceived criticism to the republican party and a nearly comic and insecure franco (I'm not going to put his name with capitals. I t feels like a justification for wrong actions. Unamuno doesn't deserve forgiveness for his support to franco. Long "patriotics" scenes. What a shame!!!

It is a film about disastrous historical events pulling us to the future, it is not some sci-fi adventure but a prediction of the could-have-been future.
Jojo Rabbit
The co-writer and director Taika Waititi's shock and awe theory is shocking and awe-inducing. Amidst all the controversies and debates that the film has been provoking, you know then and there that the film works. Filmmaking is one slippery sand in your hand. You are told to define the filmmaking in the most textbook format. The definition asks for you to follow certain rules along with elements, proper stages with enough room and objectives that are obligatory. And this is how it is measured. Now, one would always argue then, why doesn't everyone gets it right. Well, one's an idiot. Because there is no textbook out there. So what you are referring to, what your source is, is your instinct.
You must have a sophisticated skillful way of turning the heads of the viewers. Tilting with wonder? Why not. And you can deny and argue as much as you like but Taika in its absurdity and contradictory method, wins your heart with a charming and delightful "small talks". If it makes you cry, it made you feel something. If you're laughing, then you are. The "experience" factor of the film could not be more clear.
Taika's Jojo Rabbit is rabbit-alike. My family has just adopted a rabbit. So all I see is it. But the adorable looks or tone of the film overcomes its undermining and often questioning themes. The film repeatedly skips the "homework" aspect of the narration to zap you with an emotional dose. There are so many things wrong with it. But then, the premise itself asks for it. And no, I am not pointing towards the old Hitler routine, the elephant in the room. But what goes behind those frames. There are some unearthly images enacted in the film to exaggerate the underlined lunacy where all these acts were leading towards.
First off, I was personally at this battle. With that being said:
"The result of the battle was a victory due to the taliban forces taking too many casualties so they fled."
Taliban fighters do not flee, they die for their religion.
We lost way to many great americans at a cop that should of never existed in this location in the first place. They called it a fishbowl for a reason. This was hardly a "victory".
The Afghan army that was stationed at this cop retreated and left their position at the main gates wide open allowing full entry to the cop.
1st platoon Charlie company warfrogs 1/32 flew in via blackhawk, fought our way down the mountain to the cop, where we found the remaining survivors hiding in a small shack with the door barred shut, we cleared out remaining hostiles then cared for the wounded and picked up and loaded all the american casualties on the birds. Then my platoon stayed there at Keating alone for another 2 days pulling guard risking a massive counter attack which we would not have been equipped to handle.
Hopefully this "movie" actually shows the whole story. It was NOT a heroic battle where "few" won against "many" it was a slaughter of our military brothers who were forced to be at a cop that was very poorly planned, at the lowest point of ground surrounded by high ground on ALL sides. The only reason there were survivors is because QRF (my platoon) showed up in time.

Sam Mendes, did not disappoint with this great one shot film, unlike any war film that I ever have watched, harsh & beautifully crafted flowing perfectly with excitement at every corner!
After seeing Cats and Dolittle back to back, I am quite convinced that movies about animals should never be made ever again.
Dolittle suffers from bad CGI, badly written dialogue, badly developed and utilized characters, and RDJ's really bad accent. This movie is supposed to be an inoffensive kids film, but a dragon enema occurs very abruptly and without warning at the end of the movie. Yes, you read that correctly. Unfortunately, Dolittle is not a movie I hope to ever see again.
